I purchased it in 1970 in Cairo, Egypt, in Khan El-Khalili Bazaar as a college student after patient bargaining over cups of tea returning for several days: a conversation, smiles, a deal. Unlike some offerings with lower prices, there are two rows of 7 thick luxurious hand knotted black wool tassels at each end. It measures 60" in length x 29" in width with 16" long tassels at each end for a total overall length of 92 inches. It is wired and ready to hang. This beautiful wall hanging is a unique piece of textile art that showcases intricate Bedouin craftsmanship.
