Exquisite handmade winter christening dress regally long in very good condition. The under-slip is made of fine wool with handmade embroidery and cutouts in the hem appropriate for a winter christening. The fine cotton slip is hand embroidered and pleated with an extravagant layer of lace at the hem that under-hangs the dress. The dress itself is also of very fine cotton with tiny pleats on the bodice and added lace at the neckline and in rows along the long hem that still allow the rows of lace on the slip a full reveal. Small stitches by the maker are evident throughout. Original gold plated pin neck closures are included. No closures on cotton slip. Frame is not included.
