Vintage Retro '70s Geometric Boho Yarn/String Macrame Earth Tone Wall Hanging
This great vintage handmade artwork is straight out of the 1970s, although you would not know it from the look of this piece. It has been meticulously cared for and is in great condition. The chestnut, beige, ivory and red-brown colors were so popular then and are still deep and vibrant. It was very well made (someone took a lot of time on this one!) and the geometric pattern is beautiful. It looks like it is made of yarn, but it's actually a cord that has a fuzzy, yarn-textured finish - the cord is more rigid and heavier than yarn. I had a wall hanging that was simlliar in the 1970s in my room as a teenager, and I bought this for my daughter at an estate sale. She does not share my enthusiasm for '70s - 80s artwork and design, unfortunately, so it is looking for a new home. The wooden dowels on this piece are 15 inches in length, so it is 15 inches tall when hanging in a diamond configuration. The length from corner to corner (square) is 11 inches, so this is a nice medium-small piece of art. Very good vintage condition. There is no broken string or yarn that I can see, the weaving is lined up and intact. The hanging loop is still attached. The wood dowels are sturdy and straight - no bowing or warping - no splintering or splitting. See photos for additional details. Every effort will be made to minimize the environmental impact of packing and shipping each item.*REDUCE* *REUSE* *RECYCLE*
